Post by: JVS RX7s on March 17, 2004, 01:09:51 PM
Im replacing a clutch in a modded Rx7 FD3s.  Running 1.0 bar of boost, will it eat a std clutch?  If so what clutch (Availble in the uk now) would you recomend?

The standard clutch will struggle,  i have an ACT street strip clutch in mine which has single turbo ported engine. It seems to hold very well and still has pretty much standard feel.  I have given it some serious abuse and it hasnt slipped yet.  I found mine on //www.ebay.com (not uk) it cost me 350 quid into the country. It came with alignment tool, throwout bearing and the little bearing that sits in the end of the eccentric shaft (forgotten the name).

Thanks guys.  I will need to make sure it does not have a "matched" flywheel as its running a perf clutch at the moment.
