Failed MOT on emissions :(
Anyone know of a \'friendly\' MOT center or person in Kent, near Ashford if poss.
Also I\'ve heard that you can \'tinker\' with the Apexi Commander to get the idle down just for the test. I\'ve searched the forums but couldn\'t find more details. Anyone have any further info on this?
Really appreciated.
Cheers,
RAM.
yeah you alter the PIM settings that will lean or richen the idle depending on the percentage you put in, but dont drive around on that setting otherwise it will lean out and kill your engine, just revert back to the orginal values once you done the mot.
what percentage is safe to put it done to mate, coz this could be handy to know
cheers
depends from one car to the next tbh, best way is make small incemental changes it whilst they got the probe up the exhaust until it passes, then change it back before driving off
Do you still have the airpump connected up? How standard is the car? If so, I know a place in Maidstone that has sorted mine out for the last 6 years...

I believe the air pump is disconected.
Converted to single turbo (Apexi RX6).
Apexi Power FC + Commander.
No cat.
Would appreciate contact details of the place in Maidstone :)
Appreciated.
Cheers,
Ray.

They will probably only be able to do it on a standard car, they just know how/when the airpump cuts in to keep the emmisions down. Sorry!
