Title: Front mount/vmount question
Post by: m4drx on June 29, 2008, 10:05:54 PM
evening all

i have a quick question.

can you fit a Trust FMIC (or similar) in the FMIC or vmount position without taking the front bumper off?

reason i ask is that i have recently put on an aftermarket front bumper and it has braces galore on it which are fibreglassed on.

I have a Trust SMIC to fit but because the power mods are growing and growing i dont want to have to do the ic install twice so i want to get it right first time and i want a vmount.
would anybody be willing to take on the task or help me? i can pay for thier time.

cheers

definitely bumper off for FMIC fitting, not sure about v mount but it would make things a hell of a lot easier if you did

thats what i think mate. hoping vmount will be possible as that is 90% what i want to do.

the bumper is literally fibreglassed to the brackets to give it strength. it was only fitted about 3 weeks ago i think so i dont want to cut it off :(

i know i should have done it before really but im hoping to be able to do it vmount with some help or just let a tuner work thier magic .thing is i want to buy an IC and drop it in or pay labour i dont want to fork out over a grand for a branded vmount and fitting.

v mount you could do with bumper on if you can work on top and underneath in stead
but easier with it off
