Title: problem
Post by: rxsevenfd3s on June 28, 2008, 03:57:34 PM
hello everybody, I\'ve had the problem now for about a week, When i start the rex it smokes for about 30 to 60 seconds like when you start her up after a flood. It doesn\'t do it every time about 1 in 7 start ups. any help would be appreciated. i was thinking either new spark-plugs or rebuild time but not sure.

Is it a little puff of smoke when you start up (normal), or enough smoke you could lose yourself in if you walked behind the car?

What colour is it?

Any other issues? coolant? turbo smoking on overrun, etc, etc?

no but i use my car nearly every day. i took all the inter-cooler piping off and there\'s no sign of oil their. some times the smoke is worse than others and you could loose a small continent in it. the smoke is blue no coolant problems at all and it doesn\'t seem to be loosing oil any more than usual. i took the plugs out and gave them a clean but nothing unusual. I\'m pretty stumped.
