Title: Oil level sensor?
Post by: Swanny_UK on June 26, 2008, 12:51:33 PM
Guys,

Is this the oil level sensor in the sump?  I noticed the connector some while back, and the oil level light hasnt been on to indicate a problem.   In the picture you can see Im holding the connector, and above the subframe you can see the sensor in the sump.

The light came on intermittently some while back but it stopped doing it.  I regularly check oil levels and its never run low.  The oil level lights now on, and I managed to trace where this cable is connected too, and I think its the oil level sensor.

As far as I remember its always been disconnected.  So how is it only coming on intermitantly, and on constantly now?  Also - where abouts in the loom is the opposite connector for this one so I can get it hooked up again?
