Title: repairing oem skirts
Post by: civicboy28 on June 26, 2008, 10:17:14 AM
Hi i have some OEM rubber skirts that i want to fit to my car.
Now they are currently painted black, and have a few bits of rubber missing at the fixing points, where it was removed from another car.

Can i get the rubber repaired. or is that not possible?

also is it best to get them fibreglassed over the rubber before painting, as i had a wingswest front lip on my civic once, that started to peal after a year.

thanks in advance

these are normally bonded on, i would personally bond them again and make up some rectangular washers to go under the heads of the bolts that should then clamp the remaining rubber on the skirts. once bonded they are very well stuck onto the car.
