Engine overheated big style on the way back from Japshow. By the time i had found somewhere suitable to stop it was probably too late.
It managed to boil off and spit out most of what was in the system and it doesnt look pretty. The water appears very brown in colour, along with most of the engine now!
The engine no longer fires and according to the 1 minute diagnosis from the AA man the water seals have gone.
So im guessing its time for a rebuild while the engine is out. Hayward Rotary are very close to me so was wondering what peoples experiences are with them?
On another note anyone considering the AA as breakdown cover...
The guys from the 2 recovery trucks (yes they have to pass you about like a relay baton) were excellent. The response time was not.
I called them at 18.10 near Northampton. I got home to Andover at 03.00 Monday morning just in time for work at 05.00!
9 hours to cover under 100 miles.
