Title: MoT shocked me today!!
Post by: DemonRx4 on June 23, 2008, 11:28:07 PM
Took the EGI to get MoT\'d for the first time today and the only thing she Failed on were the emissions and a blowing exhaust!!!! :eek
Not bad considering i bought it in Feb for £500 have done nothing to it mechanically except top up the oil. And i\'ve put around 4000 miles on her :yes

Going to get  friend to try and sort out the emissions tomorrow so fingers crossed.... And how do i convince the tester that the blowing exhaust is in fact just my screamer pipe?? or rather whats left of my screamer pipe :Giggle

Dude, go to Thames valley MOTs. They can setup the car so it will pass the emissions test.

You sure will just as soon as i get some tax....And have given the car a complete valet. I have been neglecting her but that\'ll change soon.

although im afraid the real money is getting spent on the Triumph Stag as she deserves it and although i respect the power of the Rotary and all....nothing gets the endorphins going like the burble of a V8 whils cruising with the top down.

How\'s your beast anyway Mr DtheBuk

dam sounds awsome.

well she\'s good, apart from from low compression. Im debating on wether to work on a turbo conversion or just by a t2. Id quite like to do a project tho.

Tbh these cars handle so well that there isn\'t really a need for more power, but i have yet to experience anything super fast.

So you found any decent driving roads around the area?

Yeah tell me about it i\'m hopefully going to be borrowing a set of alloys with some decent tyres on until i can afford to replace all of her tyres.

I\'m hoping to have her re taxed on saturday or friday...I miss my car (any car) terribly. Mind you whats worse is in a couple of weeks she\'ll be layed up again for 3 weeks this time as i\'m looking after my friends 57 plate golf tdi hehehe fun!! not as fun i\'ll grant you...
