Title: Replacement for T2 Cab
Post by: rupertbear on June 21, 2008, 01:27:34 PM
A 17 year old moron on a motorbike recently had a go at killing himself and me.

Fortunately, through sheer luck, I was fine and as far as I know he was generally OK.

Unfortunately, it\'s looking like the damage he did to my T2 Cab was sufficient for my insurance company to write it off. If this turns out to be the case I\'ll be looking for another.

Anyone thinking of selling? I\'ll be looking for no rust, high compression, perfect hood and working wipers and all for very little dosh, of course!

Seriously, I\'ll be grateful for any pointers.

Anyone know anything about this one?

Thanks

I didn\'t dig up his for sale thread but he certainly put his up.

Mine may be for sale as well, despite my original plan to keep it over here even after going to the US, basically for when I need a car over here. I should have figured this out in the next couple of days.

Brett and Moonwrap have seen it, as have others who went to the retro show last year. It\'s a white UK spec vert, pretty much all original with a few exceptions (RB exhaust, Koni suspension, front strut brace).

Thanks. He came round a blind bend on my side of the road. Lucky to be alive.

Thanks, Tim. I\'m in North Staffs so Kent isn\'t brilliant but please keep me posted. If you do decide to sell, let me know a bit more about the car.

No probs, I go up that way on a regular basis at the moment anyway. In fact, had I posted this yesterday, we could\'ve met up as I did take the FC up there.

Anyway, here\'s a little teaser, taken last year,  less than 1000 miles ago:

And before you ask, I\'ve got the tonneau cover but didn\'t put it on for the shots.

Certainly looks good. Don\'t know as yet how much I\'ll be getting from the insurance company so don\'t know what my budget will be. They are a completely useless bunch but it surely cannot take them much longer.

Let me know when/if you decide to sell and how much.

Can\'t seem to do that, must be because I let my membership lapse. I\'ll risk posting it here:

Look forward to hearing from you.
