loads of rexs i see got the slightly different colour front bumper. mine seems quite dull and dont shine up like the rest of the car. is this from the plasticy material the bumper is made out of? is not good for spraying? if i can the front bumper resprayed would they be able to colour match it and get it the same shine as the rest of the car?
cheers
AFAIK it\'s from the plasticy-ness of the bumper - it\'s always hard to colour match with plastics. Mines going in next week to have the front end resprayed, hopefully that will make the difference a little less!
It\'s better on some colours than others, but reds and whites seem to be worse for it.
It is possible. I took my rear bumper and my petrol cap flap to "Body Beautiful" in Dartford, and they painted the rear bumper to Exactly match the car. However, this body shop is not cheap :-(
£250 to remove the old, (wrong) paint, and repaint the bumper. There is a special process for painting the plastic pieces, and probably this process hasnt been followed when you can see the different colours.
