looks really good, nice and neat.   just make sure that you block up any holes, both at the sides and between the rad and the i/c,  you want all the air that goes in the front of the car to have to go through the rad or the i/c.  The air will take the easiest route.

well done that looks spot on...the end result of your hard work is worth it:chat isn\'t it.

You can remove that fuse box and cable tie it under the slam panel.  It will fit there nicely + did you extend the wiring loom for the fans?

well done again:god

:) cheers guys. yeah i still have my ducting and relay box left to finnish off. think im going to just fabricate some brackets and mount the relay box where it is. mainly for ease of access. ducting looks pretty easy and i was thinking of having a adjustable dividing plate between the rad and intercooler. mainly to prevent heat soak whilst sat in traffic. this work is going to take place after jap show though.

the intercooler cost me £200 off egay. its a nice big bar and plate design. looked like it should flow, cool and fit well so i thought i would go for it.

well once it is complete i could make some brackets up for you. its **** easy. all i needed to make was 7 simple brackets and it fits great. if you are going to jap show i can show you what i have done. i will be on the tengoku racing stand.

yes i had to lenghten my wires for the fans. just used some 2.5mm tri rated. plenty good enough.

thanks again for the kind words.:)

hi adam,

that would be awsome. I will catch up with you at Japshow. I want to do it with a trust FMIC but just out of pure fear ive missed out on the last two that came up for sale.

I can do engines and mechanics but when it comes to changing something that isnt like for like i struggle mostly from the fabrication angle.

I need to put a wanted add up for help also but if you did fancy making a bracket set or something id be more than happy to pay you for your trouble. I suppose then the ali welding problem starts :(

my number is 07900 575 124 anyway - try to catch you at the pod. :)

sure thing mate. it would be easier to talk to you about it in person, just makes things easier. making the brackets for mounting the rad is easy. when it comes to the intercooler, i carnt just knock up a kit unless i see the intercooler as it will be different size, fitment etc to mine. this is my car. look out for me at the weekend and come have a chat.

Thats great work bud. You\'ve made this look quite simple (famous last words). And cable ties FTW!
The ducting should be an easy job, but the adjustable dividing plate has me intrigued, how would you control that? And would it affect air flow under normal driving conditions, i\'m guessing that if the angle is wrong then it would sent the air to just one of the two (obviously in traffic this would be perfect for heat soak) and would cause problems. Or am i barking up the wrong tree here??

Looks real good mate. Im still trying to do mine...well i aint even started yet but ya\'know what i mean :Giggle Can i just ask a few questions...

1. What intercooler is that?
2. Have you managed to fit the undertray?
3. Any more pics of the water hoses?

For futur reference the wiring for the rads goes up the loom on the offside, all except the ground wire its a simple job just to undo the tape on the loom pull the cables out and you should have enough length on them then to not have to extend them except the ground wire(although you can pick that up off any metal point) then just tape the loom back up and place back in position.hth rob

Cheers buddy. I have a rough idea as to what im going to do with the dividing plate. Once I have time to experiment and play around with some things, I will post up pics and results.

Hi Robbie. Well the intercooler is originally a front mount for an rx7 but with the hot side end tank cut, angled and welded it fits a treat. Cost £200 form ebay. As you can see though there is little room for intakes and I had to modify my trust ones to get them to fit. I haven’t managed to fit the undertray and I very much doubt the stock one would fit. If I feel necessary I might try to fabricate one.Give me a few days and I will get some pics of the water hoses. All I needed was X2 off the longest out of the stock ones. HTH and anymore questions fire away.

To be honest mate I didn’t ever think to try that.lol. nice tip for future though. Cheers.

I finally got round to starting my V mount today after months & months of putting it off. I got the rad mounted up and so far i\'ve not needed to do any ali welding. For the intercooler, im going to get it from radtec. http://www.radtec.co.uk/index.php They are only a 20 min drive from my house. As far as i know, dragon and WGT use them for their V mount setups. Im also going to get an IC that goes 3/4 of the length of the rad to leave room for my air filters to sit in the nose of the car similar to the first pic. Then im going to make a heat shield for the air filters, then another heat shield divider plate that sits between the IC & rad. I might even make it adjustable, i\'ve not made my mind up yet! I managed to untape the rad fan wires far enough to reach the fans without chopping them up which im pleased with in the second pic.

Nice progress there Robbie, how much is just the i/c on its own ?

Pigeon, how has the car been since doing the v-mount ? Got any figures for intake temps etc ?

nice work robbie, looking good so far. im waiting on my koyo at the mo. once i have got that in and done my ducting i will post up some more pics.

gmogle, i dont have a intake temp guage so i carnt tell you exactly what my temps are. i can tell you though that if i have a spell of WOT action, quickly pull over pop the bonnet the intake pipe is stone cold and the uim is pretty damn cool to. i have a temperature gun which i could use to check the surface temperature of the uim if you like?
