Post by: Romfordboy on June 17, 2008, 04:51:09 PM
my oil pressure guage isnt working any more and dont know the reason why. it was working fine.
read on here it could be because it needs an oil change but can that be the reason???
pics and explination will help loads thanks!!!

and also i think its the idel control vavle, basicly when im driving and come to a stop e.g. a red light. it revs up and down from a range of about 900 to 1300 like its searching for something. any ideas? and if it is the ICV where abouts is it to clean?

sorry for being so usless.:WaveBye thanks

the stock oil pressure guage sender is prone to failure, it is mounted somewhere under the oil filter you can see it from under the car, sometimes the connector comes off and if you clean the connector it works again, but usually it just is duff. its not the guage in the dash, always the sender.
cant help with the idle, although it might help to know if the car is standard ecu etc, and whether the aircon is on, sometimes that makes mine seek a bit.
