Title: Removing dash vents
Post by: SiH on June 17, 2008, 12:50:02 PM
Could anyone tell me how to remove the two centre dash vents?
My car came without them, and i\'ve got a gent on here supplying me some from a car he\'s breaking, but he\'s having issues removing them, and doesn\'t want to break them - can anyone give any pointers?
It\'s the two above the stereo/heater controls :)
Cheers all :)
Si

hello mate there is a small screw in the bottom of the centre of the vent. It points backwards (ie. towards the front of the car) so is a real pain to get to... i\'m removing the whole dash at the moment and to get to this screw you need to get the speedo cluster out... bit of a mission i\'m afraid!

Had to do the same thing on mine when I got the car (had slats missing) in the end I had to rip the old one out in several bits of plastic before fitting the new ones.

Can\'t you reach in through the centre speaker vent? I\'m sure thats what I did.
