After 4 years of abstainance, I have finally got hold of another FD.
It\'s a Jap Import from 2001, RB (the label in the door says \'RB Special Edition\'). Not sure really whether that means its a standard RB, or something different. Leather interior and no rear windscreen wiper are a couple of clues (?).
Anyhooo...
It has come with a 5Zigen cat back, the main cat appears to be intact, and I have managed to get hold of a good deal on a twin Apexi air intake, which I intend to get fitted at the same time as a PowerFC to avoid large explosions...
So, questions:
1) Can anyone identify what the model actually is ? It\'s registered in July 2001.
2) I think I\'ve read that Jap cars don\'t have the pre-cat like the UK models, so with the catback, I am really sensibly at the limit of any mods until I get a funkier ECU - Is that right ?
3) If I am to go for a PowerFC - can anyone recommend a good place to go who can do the whole installation and tuning of the maps. I\'m in Dorset, so Reworx and RX Motors seem like possible options (but I don\'t know either of their capabilities) - also I hear mention of Sense Tuning and their phone number appears to be local. Dunno who out of these is any good.

Craig, not sure about the model specific details, but I am sure that someone will post up.
I would think that you are close to the limits of what you can get away with.
I would recommend Ant (db2boy) for the purchae of the PowerFC and mapping of it. Top fella who wont mess you about. ;)

Craig, RE:Worx and RX Motors have plenty of satisfied customers, and I know RE:Worx have them on the shelf 99% of the time. Not sure about Sense Tuning atm, I think Chris is still fiddling but havent heard much of him of late - give him a buzz and see what he\'s up to...
Either way, Power FC should be some thing like £600...mapping a couple of hundred on top if done on a RR...
