Title: Hydrocarbon result?
Post by: CraigWWW on June 10, 2008, 10:50:41 PM
Hi there

I failed my MOT yesterday as per my other thread, it\'s a 92 import and running approx 500bhp..I got the 3.5% vol CO test.

My results:

CO %vol - 6.798 FAIL LIMIT - 3.500
HC ppm vol - 2880 FAIL LIMIT - 1200

Do my results from the Hydrocarbon test indicate anything....ie blown seals?

Cheers

Craig,

Think you need to find someone to drop a "pass your MOT" map onto your ECU.....that will then get your ticket, and then from there get the old map put back.  Just dont drive it above a couple of thousand rpm otherwise you will have an MOT and a blown engine!
