Title: coilover set up
Post by: mpk490p on June 08, 2008, 08:59:08 PM
hi all to start off with this is for a FB gen 1 but the princable is the same
im fitting a coilover set up all round which will include Noltec camber and caster top mounts (detail in my link below) question is do i just set the coilovers to the ride height i want? i will be taking this to a motorsport garage to have 4 wheel aligment and caster / camber set, they also do corner weighting but how have other people set theirs up?

thanks
Mark

Not much help Mark, but i\'m finaly setting mine up based on the ride height i want to run the car at, because thats all i know how to do, i have Cusco fully adjust coliovers, and the ride is great, the only problem i have is that i can only adjust them by measuring from the spring seats to the base of the shock, the problem is that by doing that i don\'t know if the springs are exactly the same/equal on the rear, or on the longer springs on the front! i would think/hope they are matched! so before i go for lazer alignment, i think i should get the car weighted! also i don\'t have adjustable camber and caster top mounts, i gather it is essential for the ride height to be higher at the back than the front or the car will be unstable!
