hi all
quick one:
how to take the rev counter out? and then strip it down?
need to strip it down as the face is falling down...gotta glue it back or something...
The easiest way i find is the tried and tested good ol\' way, which is the hammer and chissel:driving
hth rob
thx - not gonna try that one :D anyone??
It\'s easy remove the plastic where the air vents to the door. Re move the plastic in the footwell remove the plastics around the steering colomn. I has to remove my steering wheel too. Pull the dial hood towards you and unplug the electric connectors. Its hard to explain in words but its quite simple learn by doin job really.
i\'m doing this at the moment. Have also stripped all the interior plastics (rear quarters, boot, etc) and taken photos of the dodgy little pins etc that hold them in place. i\'m taking off the dials and removing the dash at the moment and was looking for pics on here of how to do it! sorry for going off topic slightly but if neone is interested in me making a thread of how to do this with pics let me know and i\'ll post it up... eventually...

big thx!
btw:
if someone wants to get to the actual counter:
undo the 4 screws:

then two screws on the plastic cover and unclip these 6 clips:

Legend. Will be needing to do this at some point to fix my epileptic rev counter.
