Southern Monthly Pub Meet - Dartford, Kent, this Tuesday 10th June.
Due to the small turnout for this pub meet last month, we need to review whether it is worth attending each month. Tuesday\'s pub meet maybe the last one.
This event takes place every 2nd Tuesday in the Month.
ALL Rotary owners, new members/non members are made welcome From 8.00pm onwards.
The pub is \'The Wharf\' (pub/restaurant), Galleon Boulevard, Dartford, Kent DA2 6SL. To get there from the Dartford Crossing - heading southbound into Kent from Essex: take the 1st exit after the Tolls (Kent side) then follow the "Bluewater" signs onto Crossways Business Park. Turn right at the second roundabout, (past Mazda HQ!), go straight ahead at the next roundabout and it\'s at the end of the road.
They also serve good cheap food there, some people get there early to have dinner before-hand
I can\'t make this one as I\'m working in Birmingham.
I know I haven\'t been to one in ages but I hope you don\'t cancel them - I\'m sure the turnout will improve now that the weather is better. Maybe look at making them bi-monthly in the winter months?
If you do have one in July I promise to come.

Turnout for this has gone down to just about nothing now in-spite of last months weather being excellent we had just two turn up initially, they hadn\'t been for a year and they only came to see somebody who didn\'t turn up anyway,
As you know this meet is open to anybody with a Rotary member of MRC or not and for quite a while numbers have only been boosted by the RX8OC but they now have their own meet elsewhere, so if nobody on this club who is local enough to attend doesn\'t want this meet we may as well either knock it on the head go bi-monthly or move it to another location.
However ATM it looks like just knock it on the head and done with,

Once I\'ve got some wheels and an MOT on the TII, I\'ll even bring my own ;)

I know that Marley and Dave are going to be coming up from Ashford.
Tuesdays aren\'t a good day for me anymore.
Might be worth seeing if shifting the day would be better for people?
I can never get to these because it\'s always on the Tuesday of the week when I\'m working lte shifts. (And cos my car\'s still off the road, but we won\'t mention that lol). Maybe a bit of variance in venue and/or dates might help with attendance? It\' s also a good hour and a half drive each way for me, so there\'s no way I could get there even if I landed a shift that finished at a sensible time.
Maybe a poll should be run to see what people want from a meet like this, and when and where they would be able to attend?

well if it\'s any help I was hoping to come this month.... tis not far from me, just a quick blat down the A2... and would be good to meet up with some other local\'ish rotary owners.. plus my car is far too dented and mismatched to make it to any shows.. the pub is probably as far as it\'s gonna get :D
Edit:Oh I\'ll be the sheepish looking person in the multi-red coloured FC... (hmm.. better see if I can get those dodgy looking hot chocolate stains out of the passenger seat...)

I\'ve got a few of the other rods and so forth that were there.. they\'re unfortunately just as dark and grainy but I\'ll post them up if you\'re interested ??? Next time I will bring my cam.. and maybe even see if I can find my tripod lol...
