Title: Turbo housing\'s
Post by: Fats on June 07, 2008, 03:20:18 PM
Can I fit a 1.0AR exhaust housing on a turbo thats got a 0.6AR Housing??

Looking at buying a Blower thats the same size as a T04S but with a 0.6 housing, It\'s a garrett 60-1 tub with 0.7 compressor housing and 0.6 exhaust housing, I want to swap the housing off my old tub and save messing about with the downpipe.

Cheers

as long as its a garrett style front housing and rear housing it should just bolt up mate!

Sound mate, I was more bothered about the size of the turbine, this would\'nt be any smaller if it had a 0.6AR housing fitted would it?

Im stressin out becasue i don\'t want to buy a tub a find it won\'t work with the engine

well as long as the rear housing is the same trim as your current turbine wheel  then all will be fine in most cases....Most turbos are P trim which is about 64.5mm in diameter......so measure up before you try and fit to avoid possible damage to the turbine wheel during fitting.
