I remember test driving a lovely R2 FD in Japan, bought it, couple of months later got to the docks and it wouldnt start for nothing, trailored it home, found water seal had blown badly and plug wells flooded. Gutted.

hehe :) iv just imported a 98 spec intra type R, simple mods like exhaust, multichanger, filters ect.. just mot`d n took for its first drive.. car its absolutely stunning and goes like fook!! so are you planning on selling all 3 rex`s then? whats the specs on them all?
First car i ever imported as a rex n had major engine probs lol kinda went into it with my eyes shut n didnt know anything about the rotarys.. last 2 tho i know what im doing and have had 2 cracking motors with comp results in the 7`s with rebuilt engines, the silver with the red wing came from yahoo auctions?
Kevin, all cars drives and started but the batteries were dead when they came. Only the black (which is indeed an RZ :D) has started without any problems and had battery charged.
The FC however has some clutch problem but I am very happy it does because I am moving in to rotary business so more problems the better for me, gives me the chance to learn how to fix them :).

Silver FD isnt from Yahoo Auction. You must have seen it on pistonheads.

fc`s seem to go for the same money as fd`s in Japan now lol, had my eye on a few fc`s n some went for almost 5k :Hammer proper speced out drift monsters tho ..

yeah i noticed that too...they fetch decent money...certainly not something id punt on thats for sure/...theres certainly no point in my eyes in bringing an FCs over...FDs on the other hand...if you can pick em well.

have u been osaka before craig? Thats where i bought all my cars from....its nice out there if a little bland lol! Can check out feed while ur down in sakai as well! Theres not really any dcent size auctions in osaka thats the prob...you really need a car to get to kobe..
me help?? lol....i think im sorted out there if i need anything! I looked into parts but i couldnt justify the container loading chrges and the container shipping fee...that and i couldnt fill the container...even with the help of upgarage lol
The FC is mine and I have imported it because its one of the last ones made... 1991/10 plus it had grade 4 in jap auction and has loads of cool bits on it plus the paint that I like.
I was thinking of turning that in to drift or time attack car for next season or the one after but will see.
Jit: I am soursing mine from auctions all over Japan on daily bases. There are over 500 rexs sold every week so hard to tell exactly where. I am waiting for my RE-Amemiya bodykit for it and if I do decide to sell it I would want about 4k for it.
Interloper: you are right..... FC cost quiet alot in Japan but I think the reason why is because they are becoming classics.

id love an fc lol, good fc`s will sell for about 3-4k here i recon.
I also buy from all over, the site i use has ever auction in japan merged together, sometimes they try n charge u a delivery fee which is a ripoff but ma dude just goes n collects from all over.. osaka`s the easyist n quickest place for shipping to the uk.

yes, in theory, but the thing is like FDs the FC prices are kept down by the number of ropey examples we have over here
Look at Jase\' FC, har dpushed to find a better car yet he hasnt had any luck flogging it (to my knowledge)...
