Dear folks...2 quick questions re rear foglight.
1. I understand it has to be wired so that it only works with main dipped beam and must not work with main (high) beam. Can someone please advise where I take the live feed from for this? I\'ve got all the steering shroud and instrument cluster off and need to know where I go from here.
2. I don\'t want to screw my dangly on so am going to wire up the high level brake light like this......As I\'m sure you know the high level brake light is made up of three separate clusters of lights. I\'ve run a wire for the foggy following the loom from the dash right up to the high level brake light. I\'m going to disconnect the connector for the middle cluster of the three and use this as the foggy, leaving the outer two clusters as brake lights. Can anyone envisage any problems with this? MOT booked for Wednesday and I\'m sure they won\'t be that fussed. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance. Wife is going ape becuase I\'ve been fidling with my bits all day and she\'s been indoors with our 4 lovely well bahved kids

my rear fog light just has a seperate switch on its own, cant u just have a seperate switch?
Yep, I\'ve got a separate switch to install. what I need to know is where to take the live feed from as the fog light is only allowed to work with dipped beam headlights.

Is it ok to pick up the live feed from the headlamp wiring under the bonnet? Where behind the dash can I take the live feed? Would it be better to install a relay to be operated by the wire for dipped beam heads from the headlamp switch and take the power directly from the IGN side (using an inline fuse obviously)??
Any idea of wire colours to make my life easier?
Anyone got a wiring diagram?
Cheers mates
