Title: No power above 3.5k
Post by: Kron on June 04, 2008, 01:07:14 PM
Took the FC out for a brisk run this morning (turned out to be very brisk)...

There seems to be a hesitation/stutter/backfire when trying to go anywhere over 3.5k in the rev range in all gears. As soon as you hit 3.5+ there is just no power a lot of juddering and popping.

I talked to Tim at RXM and it sounds like the secondary injectors might be blocked/fueling problem.

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have any suggestions?

check your ECU fault codes - as one or two of the FC\'ers on here have seen there OMP\'s pack up and that puts the car in limp home mode.

secondaries would come on at about 3.5-3.8K rpm if there is a load on the engine - try revving it slowly on the drive - no load - as the secondaries don\'t come in then - if it still stutters then you\'ve another problem.

I think it must have been in limp mode as I\'ve just taken it out again but this time its absolutely perfect.

The magic self fixing FC.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Prof!
