Hi Robbie,

I lost my "snake" around 6 or 7 years ago for the first time in my quest to tidy my engine bay and have repeated this along with other people on many other cars and never ever had a problem.

If the power steering fluid overheats it will give off a pungent smell and discolor all of which I checked for a long time initaly before performing or advising this on other FD\'s,

Just make sure you use proper 10mm fuel/oil resistant hose to carry out the conversion.

Hope this helps,

Good advice about checking the fluid.
If it helps, Pirtek sell the correct hose for the return line. It\'s fractionally oversized, but nips up perfectly with jubilees :)
