Hey people, had a bit of a scary journey to work this morning - pulled onto a sliproad to come on to the M23, i put my foot down (in 3rd) and the rear wheels spun up (it was raining) , i\'m doing about 60mph sideways approaching a motorway....
anyway in my panic of smashing up the fd/hurting myself i\'m frantically trying to gain control, cars snaking down the road etc etc and my hand hit the indicator stalk
basically now the indicator is jammed on and i can\'t get the bugger to switch off! I\'ve had to remove all the bulbs or everyone will think i want to turn right....
any ideas people...? oh and new rear tyres will be on order asap!
Cheers
i did this after i had my paddle clutch fitted. :( hit the wiper stalk and couldnt turn it off, even the fuses were in jap so couldnt do it. killed a set of wipers in the process but got a new unit. this includes both indicator stalk and wiper. otherwise there is no way to take it apart or repair.
Welcome to MRC and the RX "motoring in the wet" experience.
I suggest a set of Goodyear F1s instead of the rubber you have now.
I\'ve never heard of the brand.

Also deep in cornflakes !!
You have probably broken the bit of plastic on the stalks which selects and cancels the indicators. Take the steering wheel off and then remove the stalks to see the damage. You may be able to fix it with some glue, otherwise get a second hand pair of stalks.
