Right here goes

Ive got a FB with std 12a in it.
I am looking at doing some club race events in 2009.
What can I do to this to make it a bit faster?

I have alredy fitted a cage for safety and a Carbon fibre seat and TRS belts.
Extiguishers are in and all the MSA safety stuff is done.

Any ideas on porting, carb, clutch etc etc.

With out me trawling through here is any one else racing or rallying these here

Thanks muchly

Geoff

Hi Geoff,
There are alot of things you can do,but it would be useful to know if you have any restrictions from the rules point of view.
Engine options are pretty well limitless, but the minimum needed would be a decent exhaust and carb.
Engine can be modded by various porting methods such as an extend port (160hp),or bridgeport (200hp) or Peripheral port (230hp).These figures are lowish but due to noise considerations are realistic.
Also you could put a 13b(Bigger capacity) in the car with at least 20hp on all the above figures.
Any porting involeves and engine rebuild too.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Carl

Un        believable.

I got in touch with kiwimazda and he lives not far from me.
I have entrusted him with the build and after sampling his car with a 13b bridgeport I am looking forward to this.

The car is already in his workshop and up on axle stands.
It going to be a copy of his car

Woohoo
