what is the pipe that is in front of the air con rad, trying to fit v-mount rad in and getting in the way.. can a jsut cut the thing out
cheers sean
oh cant beat working away on the car in the sun with a few beer perfect bank holiday haha
lucky you, its been p1ssing down all day here :(
if it is a half inch metal pipe looping accros the front of the car, its your power steering cooler, Mazda\'s lame attempt to cooler the fluid on the way back to the resovoir. IMO you dont need it in the UK, its low pressure so you can cut it out, replace it with rubber hose and jubilee clips.
sweet that easy then.. if a cut it out will a need to bleed the system when filling it back up???
its self bleading, you just need to turn the steering from lock to lock
Red a lot about the system running the risk of overheating in traffic if this pipe was buried out of the way. I ended up buying a tiny oil rad and plumbing it in the air flow. Worked a treat and made the steering feel good.
Last thing you want is to melt the power steering system for a cheap oil rad.
