Title: Lumpy Idle?
Post by: Abe130 on May 25, 2008, 02:09:26 PM
Hi Guys, for some reason my newly rebuilt RX is running really really rich & I have run out of ideas as to what it could be? I do not have the pipe for the air pump but I dont think it could be that. It seems like its miss firing and is blowing smoke out of the back on idle (not when on fast idle), The plugs seem fine I just dont know what to try?

Thanks in advance :) Alex.

how do u know it is running rich?
Loads to check really:

1. HT leads
2. Turbo oil seals
3. All intercooler pipes are tight etc

who rebuiilt engine...can they check...Good idea to upgrade ecu...airfilters and decat you\'ll be running leaner then ;)

Just a quicky,,,if your airpump isnt hooked up you will have a nice super rich mixture and poor idle :-)     I run no airpump i have same running conditions providing you dont have loads of smoke i just get a little until its warmed up.
