Title: Help! Car won\'t start
Post by: Sidzrx on May 24, 2008, 06:31:58 PM
For a while now my FD hasn\'t started, and I\'ve gone through several different things and seem to be getting no closer to solving the problem.
At first I thought I may have an ignition problem, anyway tested all that replaced a coil even though that wasn\'t the problem, and all plugs fire.
When checking the plugs after turning the car over I noticed there wasn\'t much fuel on them, definately not enough to get the car to fire, they were nearly dry and only slightly damp (I was used to seeing a lot more fuel on them when car was running).
So I\'ve checked that the fuel pump is pumping fuel, I\'ve changed the fuel filter, I\'ve put new injectors in while I was at it (new standard ones), I\'ve checked and replaced the egi & circuit relays, I\'ve changed the fuel pump resistor and I swapped the fuel pressure regulator control solenoid, but still I\'m not getting enough fuel for the engine to fire. I know I have good compression, as it is a reasonably fresh build but now I can\'t start the car and it still seems that I am not getting enough fuel. I have double checked the fuel hoses to make sure they are on the right way and I really don\'t know where to go next. Any help would be appreciated as I really need to get the car going and finish running the engine in.
