Title: Buying a clutch.
Post by: Shiuko on May 22, 2008, 04:28:33 PM
What\'s the cheapest Exedy clutch for the FD you can buy?
I believe that the standard is a Exedy anyway, so I was thinking to just get another as the standard should be fine for me.
Do you normally have to replace the flywheel when you change the clutch?
Is it worth it to get a lightened flywheel? What a difference does it make?

Links please?

Hiya,

You are correct all Mazda clutches are Exedy as standard off the production line,

We can ether sell you a standard  Exedy 3 piece clutch by following this link

Or an uprated one that is still "road friendly" and not too snatchey in traffic unlike race clutches on this link

As for Flywheels put Flywheel into the search engine above as this has been a very debated subject in the past,

If you opt for the light flywheel though we can supply this and the relivant counter weight to bolt it to your engine if you wish and either clutch above still bolts up to the light flywheel O/K

Hope this helps
