Title: Aero Catches
Post by: Bulla on May 20, 2008, 02:20:23 PM
Anyone using Aero catches give me a good reason not to ? I prefer the look of them to the the normal pins. I know you need to WD40 them to stop them from rusting shut but anything else I should be aware of ?

Cheers

Bulla

a lot nicer than the pins and i think more secure on my bonnet than pins. Pins will go rusty after a while if not treated.

Im selling a brand new set of flush locking aerocatches if you want some as i bought 2 lots by accident

only thing to do is swop the bolts for stainless ones the standard ones rust after a few hours and some times the catch sticks but all round so much better

Are the aero ones easy to fit? How much cutting is involved, i\'m looking into getting some but dont want to screw up my carbon bonnet.

Mine are the flush locking ones that dont rust. Took my mate about 30 mins to fit to mine and that was on dry carbon. Get no lift at all. I paid £51 all in from Demon Tweeks so looking for £40 delivered ono. They are brand new not even out of the packet from DT
