Post by: Laeeq on March 11, 2004, 11:48:44 AM

Could anyone advise me on why is the ABS unit on my car so noisy.  Its not effecting the breaks or the peddals it just seems very noisy?

Any ideas???

put it this way - hope is not broken !

i have got a list of invoices for previous work carried out to my car ( see sig ) and the bloke paid ... wait for it .... £1792 to supply and fit a ABS unit ( thats by mazda though )

so they arent cheap - well unless you avoid mazda !

mine makes a funny noise as soon as you hit 5 MPH from the initial start off - but according to the book - its just adjusting itself

Is it noisy when it operates or all the time ?

I know that one some models mazda made it more obvious that the ABS was functioning as customers were complaining they didn\'t think it was working properly.

P.S Also moving to the correct section :)
