Title: Momo boss.
Post by: Rotorboy65 on March 11, 2004, 01:14:21 AM
Well finally got around too buying a Momo steering wheel, arranged for me mechanic mate too fit it for me along with the white dials I\'ve had for nearly a year, dials went on ok but he hit a problem with the boss. Apparently the wire\'s would not fit through for the horn etc, sorry too be so vague but a bit technical for me. Anyway has anyone else come across this problem when fitting a Momo wheel, it\'s for a 93 touring model with cruise etc. Is there a way of getting around the problem, a bit desperate now for a solution hope you can help ........best regards Leigh.

The boss you have is for an FC not an FD.  I don\'t think momo list one for the FD.  I made mine fit with a bit of drilling :)

Cheers

Be carefull with this as l have been trying to sort out this problem with Momo for a while now for one of our members with a non air bagged car.

If you have an Air bag refer to this site to adapt your Momo boss

   http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/steering_wheel.html

In searching for the solution to the problem l have faced l have found that there are 4 different steering columns for an FD by the part numbers !

l am now going to as the company has suggested  measure and send an impression of the splines to them as they assure me that they will match and send the correct one.

Been a nightmare this one !!!

I am using a fc boss, but the problem i am facing as with others i would imagine, is the horn. The RX uses quite an odd system to operate the horn.
