Post by: scooby_si on March 10, 2004, 10:20:07 PM
Just wanted to get a few tips as i am currently trying to tormeent a mechanic friend to help me get my front bumber meshed up to protect rad & intercooler etc, oh & it\'ll look boss but shh dont tell anyone the mesh comes in a max power bag

Anyway mine is a \'96 car with a \'99 front end kinda bumper on it as per image attached now i vaguely recall there is some kinda difference with support bar or sumin on the different years so basically i\'m fishing for any info & to start with the basics roughly where are the bolts etc which hold that bad boy on?
As i say any help greatfully received :god

Dude, why you taking the nose off just to mesh up them holes?? Cant u just remove the under tray (about 10x 10mm bolts from underneath) like you do with the <99 noses?? Are they that much different? Ask one of the importer guys e.g. Brian as he\'ll have no doubt meshed up a few 99-spec nose for SVA. On the <99 cars it take 20 minutes to whip the tray off, shove your mesh in and bolt back up...

that sounds promisingly easy but have no fear i can make hard work out of the simplest of tasks (http://mysmilies.ipbfree.com/s/contrib/ed/wink2.gif) lol

whats best plan for attaching mesh you reckon? Motormall did do some stuff in the oil cooler gaps & looks like they just put a little hole in the bumper  & cable tied it on (will be replacing this also) but was advised to do it with glue gun etc by a friend who did a quality mesh job on his scoob.......
