Title: Going Non-sequential
Post by: Steve-Q on May 15, 2008, 03:24:35 PM
After spending faaaarrrrrr to much time trying to fix my boost problem I have had the sujestion of going NON SEQUENTIAL on my twins, has any one had this done before????

obviously ive passed this one over to the exsperts to be done, so the turbo\'s are getting machined and everything. not half a job!! :Thumbs-up

Most useful mate, cheers.
#I work along side www.LindopMotorSport.com (http://www.lindopmotorsport.com) in the Toyota side of the garage, so Colin de Treeby is doing it for me.

I suggest doing the poor mans before going full hog, so you can switch back incase you don\'t like it. What sort of problems were your having?

full non-sequential is far superior to the pikey poor man\'s, i havn\'t looked back since :D

its got an electrical fault in the rats nest. needs a new one and super smashing special staff discount means full non sequential is cheaper then a new rats nest. plus colin told me it will go fasterererer which always makes me smile

John how is it superior, its exactly the same, just reversable. Also the turbos dont need removing to perform it. Incase you may want to change back.

Steve it wont make your car go any faster. What sort of electric fault, what were the symptoms. I cant see it being a completely new rats nest job.

because there is more flow and less crap in the way, turbo control etc u see boost much sooner, i had poor mans and it was w4nk in comparison to the full thing

Pikey poor mans & rich mans proper non sequential :Giggle. God it all seems like a big fat paradox in light of them both being the poor mans single turbo :flamed.

i agree with john on this one lol yeah its the cheap ass way to go single but when you see the engine with all that crap removed and i think it does run better than the poormans way.. there are pro`s n cons for it yeah, but there is with anything in life :P

i dont think you can get a better rx7 than with twins running seq BUT that is on the rare occasions it does work. poor mans conversion is exactley that you get the worst of both twin and single. ive never been in ca car that has had the full job done, but it should be a lot better. going single isnt always as good as most will tell ya, it needs to be a care full choice of turbo port to get it to perform.
