I\'m sure others with more knowledge will jump in, but from what i have read in some of the other battery mounting threads, the area you are talking about will probably clip the fuel tank!

There was an excellent thread somewhere on here where someone did a complete walkthrough of their battery relocation (including underside pics of bolts holes + fuel tank, etc) - but i can\'t find it now :(

I\'ve got mine tied down using the 2 threaded studs in the middle of the boot behind the back seat. You just need to bend and drill some flat bar and use that as a clamp.

Dude, fix it properly, please - that\'s basically an unsecured acid filled projectile in the boot :(

Mine is secured on one side to one of the studs used to mount the Bose gubbins, and on the other side i\'ve hooked the original battery clamp through a hole in the boot floor that\'s already there, then used the stock clamp over the top - i\'ll get a piccy tomorrow :)
I\'m not happy at all with it though - needs to be more secure than that :(

I bought a universal battery tray off ebay and bolted that to the floor, it\'s fairly sercure mounted on the tray or you could go with interloper and use some sticky back velcro Lol
