£305 plus vat :spank
Crazy :3Confused
You are lucky that they even quote a price as they don\'t legally have to provide parts after 10 years of a model being out
Hm, so technically if we order from Japan we have until 2012, awesome :D.
I thought thats cheap for a gearbox!!! didnt read it properly
Robbing swines!
I once asked about a few parts for my Mazda 323f before I got my RX, alternator was about £240, clutch COVER plate was £76, I also asked about a new BP-05 1.8 engine...just the block, internals and sump with no head was £4,550 lol
I wonder if there are differences between the LHD glove box and RHD glove box..
If so, Ray Crowe @ Malloy Mazda (in Maryland, USA) might be *well* worth contacting (even after import fee\'s).. Be sure to ask for him though!
I can\'t get on rx7club.com at work anymore =( but I\'ll see if I can\'t find his number when I get home in the morning... Or you could run a search on his name over on the 7 club to find his local/commercial number to call (we are 5 hours ahead of him time wise, so anytime between 2pm and 9pm should be good for reaching him).
Ray is also an FD owner, and he REALLY knows his parts!
Just a thought ;-)
:Giggle... I\'m sure he wouldn\'t need to import it, more of a testament to Mazda\'s ridiculous prices, a breaker could probably sort one out for a score.
Just wait for a car breaking thread and you will have your glove box bud :)
Lol! good point guys ;-) My common sense is, lagging, atm... had two hours of sleep in the past 36.. will be 26 hours of work on two hours of rest by the time I get off shift in the morning. Yay for youth and *lots* of coffee!!
As the rest have said, I posted up a wanted ad and got mine for £25 delivered! :Thumbsup!

Yeah can\'t imagine mazda sell any at all, given how cheap they are off broken cars. Just my closing mechanism is a bit buggered so wondered if they sold anything separately, probably an easy fix anyway
Reason I replaced mine was that the catch inside was broken (screw had fallen out) I started to remove the covering but gave up and replaced the lot!
I never asked if anything was sold seperately - to be honest £25 is still cheaper than what they would sell you a wood screw for! :Laugh
The latch mechanism got so saggy on mine that it\'d flop open just enough for the light to come on, but not enough to be obviously open. I wondered why the battery kept going faint on me, till I drove it one night and noticed the passenger footwell kept getting intermittently lit up! Had to bodge the little light-operating-nipple-widget thing (technical term!) to stop it killing the battery!
or you could have removed the cable from the switch lol
Yeah, but then the light wouldn\'t have worked when I want it to, dude!
