Title: Odd hesitation and juddering issues?
Post by: probedb on May 12, 2008, 01:18:41 PM
Hi all,

Have got a couple of issues with my car at the mo that I\'m not sure about.

1. At low revs under light very light constant throttle there seems to be a bit of hesitation occasionally. It\'s in all gears and I notice it most when just slowly cruising up to a set of lights or slowly cruising.

2. I get a juddering sometimes when coming off throttle and it can continue until I put my foot down again. If I leave my hand off the gear stick I can see it moving back and forward.

Other than that it\'s running great so trying to get these sorted out :)

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Paul.

Could be the throttle position sensor or spark plugs

I\'ll keep an eye on this thread. As i have the same problem.
Would be nice to know where to look.

I think I\'ll do a bulk order of 9s for spark plugs from summit racing in the US as they\'re rather cheap over there.

If not will see about paying Carl a visit at some point :)

This problem seems to me to be a constant with rotarys

best ways to improve I have found are:

engine torque damper
diff brace
finely tuned map

mine is still not perfect, but at least now manageable in traffic
