Title: bad pulleys??
Post by: sickboy2345 on May 11, 2008, 09:33:02 PM
hi guys

another question, im still a noob so sorry about that..

ok basically i have changed bottom crankshaft pulleys, all three i did that coz one of them was dented and apparently it was damaging my drive belt...BUT it wasn\'t this..im not quite sure, maybe i got a belt that was too wide or something and it was cutting a little bit off...you can see it on pics i have attached, this is a brand new belt i put it on yesterday, what i think it\'s causing the problem is one of the engine pulleys the bottom one, i tried to show it on pics as much as i could so please look carefully:

As you see the top pulley has got some space left (for a wider belt) but the bottom one - the one that cuts the belt is narrow so this damaged belt fits perfectly :( it ****es me off coz it makes funny noise whe the engine runs.(drives ok tho)
