Standard boost pattern IIRC is 10-8-10 (Psi) for pre 99 turbo\'s

In kg/cm2 this is about 0.7 - 0.56 - 0.7

So it would appear you are not achieving full boost to be honest.... Check all the intercooler connections and hoses before delving deeper as these are usually the concern.....

Does it stay solid at 0.55 ???

Quality of the boost gauge and where it is plumbed in is also a factor.

boost pattern on FD\'s goes something like (in psi cos i\'m used to it)

First Turbo spools up to around 3500-4000 and should be 10psi

Second turbo starts to spool up around 4000-4500 and there would be a drop in
pressure to around 8psi

Second turbo at full boost til redline ish at 10psi

The first turbo has to achieve a set pressure to bring the second turbo in and there is a slight dip in pressure due to the 2nd turbo spooling up...

Or something like that anyway...

Yeah that sounds fine, normal way of doing it....  Have you got an Apexi PFC and Commander ?
