Title: Track rod ends
Post by: memski on May 10, 2008, 11:35:09 AM
Just had my wheels aligned and was told I\'ll need new front track rod ends, would it be a crying shame to get stock mazda ones or should I use this opportunity to go aftermarket from the likes of uras/re-amemiya etc?

I don\'t intend to drift the car, it will be for fast street/circuit use - does anyone have firsthand experience of how different aftermarket brands compare to stock? Thanks.

Stay with standard ones

There is little need to upgrade the track rod ends for street use, as they arent put under an extreme loading given the use.

We have run with standard track rod ends for the last 3 years, and with the use of sticks compounding the forces they have still stayed strong.  However with the changing of the front end, we have some second hand ones for sale.

Noticed the rubbers had perished on both my track rod ends, rang Clive at
Mazda Rotary Parts, paid and within the next couple of days two track rod ends turned up in the post.
What more can you ask for, Mazda wanted £46 each.
Thanks Clive
