Yes they do 19\'s,
It\'s a slightly different design. The spokes are not as square.
aha i see, with the 19\'s are they the ones like in your pic rextreme? the ones that go slightly inwards at the centre? (if that makes sense lol) and i take it they are the right offset etc for an fd?
thanks :)
Not many people run 19\'s on FD in Japan.
If people tell you you shouldnt people dont.
Thats Japan.
But they run them on rx8 GTR and others.
Offset is good.
19\'s look like this on Rx8 +40 offset Very flat
The ones on my car were 18" +12 offset Very dished
I\'m running 19\'s.
but then, I\'m not in Japan. But if I was, I would still run 19\'s.
but then I\'d be in Japan, but not japanese.
hmmm, if I was japanese, and living in Japan, I probably wouldn\'t run 19\'s.
But then I wouldn\'t be Bish, but if I was japanese, living in Japan, I probably wouldn\'t be running 19\'s, but I might have heard of somebody in the UK who had an FD and was running 19\'s because he wasn\'t in japan or japanese and no-one had told him not to run 19\'s.
I hope that helps
((does it show that I\'m bored...??))
to run 19\'s in japan
You should own a torago(estima) Van and also run 5-10 degrees of camber and also run 225 tyres on 12" wide rims. so that you can get them under the guards.
If you have an FD, you probably are going to drive it on the track or on the C1 which probably means your going to run 17" TE37 or so with Advan A048 tyres and outrun any GTR you see.
But I like 19\'s and I want 19\'s But cant afford 19\'s so I cant have 19\'s so Im stuck with 18\'s,
I have seen 19\'s on "Dress up cars"
They are usually BBS RG Chromed or similar.
Russ.
What happens if your Japanese but not in Japan?
get one of these

My 19\'s have 235 at the front and 265 on the rear. I had rubbage on the front, but no more - I let the wheel take what it wanted... *grin*
If you are Japanese, but not in Japan, then youwould have 19" alloys, as the Japanese influence reduces by the square of the distance from japan. This only affects Japanese people in the same way taste in clothes and eating influences from USA drop dramatically as we move away from their shores.
So....
Japanese person living in america can have 19\'s and hamburgers and one of those vans that you cant get slide your morning paper under.
Japanese person living in japan can\'t have 19\'s but will eat properly. Can they get the van too?
There\'s a clause in the Japanese Eating Requirements aimed purely at sumo wrestlers, but otherwise that is generally true.
Arguably, if you have a normal van, and stuff as many sumo wrestlers as possible into it (as many as 3), then the paper would not fit under the van, so yes, that is possible.
Alternatively, if you had an american in Japan, he\'d eat healthier (not healthily, as he\'s still relatively close to america - for one to eat salad, he\'d have to be on mars...), his clothes would have oriental influence - eg, his judo gi would have a paisley pattern, and he\'d have 24" alloys on his honda mustang pickup
Have you tested the number of sumo\'s to one van ratio? Or was 3 a educated guess?
There is also the choice of paper to consider...
If you have a normal van and you have bought The Sun (or a similar rag) the surely 4 sumo\'s would be required to do the job.
However if your paper of choice is, lets say the Independant then surely your looking at a more conservative number of sumo\'s say 2...? Which is more considerate for the sumo\'sin question...
Therefore dare i say it, the Independant is a more sumo friendly publication.
What you didn\'t take into account is the van type variable when influenced by the Publication property.
I thin you\'ll find setting the publication variable to "The Sun" results in the Van Type property returning "Astramax", into which the Sun reader will cram 3 Sumo wrestlers, whereas "The Independant" publication variable will result in the Peugeot Boxer van, with a far larger load area. So although the Sumo Wrestlers will be of a premium size and quality, the cavernous Peugeot Boxer will stow them in relative comfort.
Obviously, our Times reader will have wrestlers Akebono, Takanohana, Wakanohana and will store them with comfort in a Mercedes-Benz Vito.
So the Sumo wrestler to van comfort ratio stands the test of logic.
It appears i foolishly believed that if you have an Astramax then you could still enjoy the more quality of papers, i didn\'t however consider the low roof rendering such a publication useless without a sidaways folding of the afore mentioned paper.
Offside paper folding - tricky, as dependant of the current speed of the van its going to make the folding exercise difficult and there is the potential for you bacon and egg roll and the publication to be blown away by the air circulating around the Astramax at speed.
Nearside paper folding - This is where forward planning comes into play, if you stuffed the sumo\'s in at the wrong angle there will be no room to turn the paper. However if you have considered this eventuality then the process of paper folding could be acheived but BE WARNED!!! It is likely that one of the greedy chaps you have stuffed into the van will whip the bacon and egg roll whilst you concentrate on the paper folding exercise!
I\'m going home now, thankyou OJ for making the last hour of my work bareable, and thankyou for correcting my error in the sumo\'s to van comfort ratio, that could have been messy!!
