Title: How many AMPS does a FD pull?
Post by: GaseJo on May 02, 2008, 10:12:22 PM
Hi all,

I am about to relocate my battery to the rear bin. So need to run cable. I was thinking of getting welder cable because it is more flexable than AWG cable. So my question is when turning her over how many AMPS does she pull so i can get a welder cable upto the job.

Thanks for any help

Cheers Garith.

Go with at least 2AWG gauge. The easiest answer is that the largest fuse in the engine bay is 125amp.

Great so a 230amp welder cable will do the job.
