Title: Squeakly Power Steering Pump
Post by: nikp on May 02, 2008, 09:11:39 AM
The power steering pump on my FD is really very queaky/chirrupy, worsed at start up and when she\'s cold. It makes no difference how tight or loose the belt is. Is my power steering pump on the way out? Is there anything i can do to improve it?

How old is the belt? I\'d replace that before going any further :)

I know Prof had a sqeeky belt he thought, but it was just the powersteering pump low on fluid lol, perhaps check the level or put some slick 50 powersteering conditioning fluid in :) it helped mine :D
