I am waiting for my last few bits to FINALLY get the car on the road. So after seeing this thread.........

I got inspired!!! So i have had a go at it. Just got the one done so far and not actually glued to the panel. Just wanted to put a few pics up & would really like some advice whether to continue with it or does it look totaly wrong.
Opinions please before it is fitted and to late.

The blue is darker than it appears it is navy

Seriously, I don\'t think it\'d neccesarily look odd unless those are the only bits of the interior you\'re highlighting like that. If it\'s just the doorcards and the rest of the interior\'s still dour Mazda black, they may look a bit, er, not-matching. Can\'t think of the right word, but I reckons they\'d need tying into other bits of trim as well, even if it\'s only small patches. I wouldn\'t advocate recovering the seats to match, but maybe some accents on the centre console or dash?
Wow, that looks pretty mental mate! Its what you think that matters most though bud, you\'ll be driving it! ;) IMHO though its a bit too much \'pimp my strides\' -esque for my tastes, but each to their own dude! :)

If i do go with this theme i will be covering the side bolsters of my cobra buckets (Professionally done) & also make a gear lever cover to match. I won\'t go the hole hog and do the dash parts or head lining like in the other thread.

I know what you mean, when i first put it in place it reminded me of the old Pimp Mobil cadilacs LOL. Like i said it is quite alot darker than it appears in the pics so it does look better in real life.

Maybe thats away to be able to afford petrol for the beast, LOL
I think it all depends on what colour your car is and what the interior is like at the moment. Personally say if your cars red and your interior is standard then I think it\'d look really odd and stick out for all the wrong reasons.
It\'s your car though and if you like it then go for it! :D
I have decided against this now. I have decided to colour code the interior to the car by spraying the plastics blue i.e Gear lever surround door handles stereo surround you get the idea. Still going to get the seats recovered Blue&Yellow.
So anyone want nearly 2 sq meters of navy crushed velvet and 9 meters of yellow piping then give me a shout LOL.
