i stuck a fairly nice mobile phone holder in the same place the r-magic one lives, and when the phone isn\'t there the commander fits ok too.

Wedged in between the cig lighter and steering column. Fits perfectly and is easily viewable along with the other gauges.

I\'ve seen an install where someone opened one up and placed the controls in a din panel next to the display - looked uber tidy, considering it for mine :)

only problem is you have to chop your commander in half and soldier tiny wires together. Could easily go wrong if you have no experience

I\'ve got mine mounted where the centre grill is on the dash.  Bought a specially molded mount from someone on here and fitted it up.  Looks wicked.

"soldier tiny wires".....i\'m using that from now on, well better than solder ;)

got a friend who\'s an electrical engineer so thats not an issue, not up for chopping it up though dont think.
