Title: GT Series Turbos
Post by: fly on April 18, 2008, 01:30:09 PM
I am considering fitting a single turbo to my \' 92 FD3S and i am a big fan of the GT Series Rollerbearing turbos from Garrett as i have a GT28RS fitted to my other car (Fiat Coupe), so i want to know what the general consensus is on the GT range vs Trust/Greddy/HKS Turbos.

I dont want much over 350hp on my rx7 so peak output is not a priority, quality and price are and i know the GT series are good from previous experience, but i have noticed that most people seem to go for T04/T78/T88s etc rather than the gt range. A GT30/35R is my current option for what i want from the car.

On another note does anyone know much about Turbonetics? A friend of mine is fitting a CTR engine to his S1 Elise and he is interested in going the forced induction route to achieve over 300hp :Hammer

Thanks!

GT35R\'s are pretty common on FD\'s. Good for mid value power ranges. I have a 35 on mine. There are a few GT42Rs too.

The GT35 is the smallest turbo you want to fit, anything smaller will just not flow enough air for the rotor. I\'m in the process of swapping over.
