Post by: brucey on April 17, 2008, 09:02:29 PM
hi

ive put a front mount intercooleer and induction kit on my fd and was wondering if anyone knows how safe this will b to drive with out being re-mapped.

(no other mod\'s other than backbox)

it seems to idle completly fine.. but dont want it running too lean or anything.

il get it mapped soon anyway, just dont wana risk anything without asking.

best place to get a power fc?

thanks alot

Hi mate, i have the exact same mods, although im still rebuilding the engine. When its done i`ll get it remapped after i`ve run the engine in (standard ecu). You should be fine for the time being, just don`t thrash it! As for the apexi, put a thread on the wanted section, im gonna do the same when i`ve got enough money.

i won\'t \'thrash it\' until its mapped, but will it be safe to boost?

cheers

Me personally wouldn`t go over 4k revs.

I have similar mods on mine but i have a decat pipe, 3 weeks later blew my engine. Do the smart thing and get an apexi as soon as possible and get it mapped, or run the risk of blowing a apex. its costing me £3000 not worth it. Just drive round carfully not to much boost!!

Dont drive it! Get it remapped before anything else.
