I turned the key on my FD for the first time in almost 4 months last night. Unfortunately, i only got as far as ignition on. I wanted to check the system over before i tried to start her, and came across a fuel leak straight away :(
The leak is coming from the new fuel rail kit that I got from KG Parts (Quality bit of kit), but the 90 degree attachment is as tight as i can make it, and it still leaks. (See below for where it\'s leaking from). Can anyone offer any advice. I was thinking about using some PTFE tape on the thread, but was told the fuel will eat it (and therefore i\'d end up with a leak again). It\'s not even a small drip, it\'s a fine spray coming out! :o

I have ptfe on mine same rail that you have there and it does not leak
PTFE Tape?
Wrap it counter-clockwise (i think?) around the thread - not sure if you need any special type to resist the fuel or not!
Quick question - when you installed the injectors, did you just install the metal ring and the injectors? Have yu got a got a good seal there? I have installed them and the injectors can rotate around - not too sure about them.
Theres a write up which suggests to use the rubber seal on the stock diffuser to give it a better seal..

I used gas PTFE tape slightly thicker than normal PTFE tape hold the thread in your left hand and wind the tape up and over the thread so it wont unwind with 50% over lap you only need a tiny bit of it
I just inserted them with the metal ring and the injector. That\'s it. The seal seemed to be really nice and tight though. Can\'t imagine them leaking. Ok, i\'ll use some PTFE tape and see how i go.
gas PTFE tape? What\'s that, and where do i get it?
Normal PTFE is fine mate, fuel won\'t eat it don\'t know who said that??
I used it on mine & we use it for fuel assemblies in work all the time!
Sweet! Cheers mate.
when i took mine apart the fuel made the ptfe tape go all slimey, cant see how that would be any good if it got in the fuel system!
ran ptfe tape on my KGparts rail for a couple years with no leaks
