Title: How much do i like a single ...
Post by: Sy. on April 15, 2008, 01:16:14 PM
After having a twin turbo set up on my previous Rex i thought they were great .. nice and fast spool up and the added kick of the second coming in making street driving brilliant......
But after taking my new rex to see Hayward Rotary after the run in miles from the rebuild they done and getting it back (after a few more mods) all mapped and tuned up ... the Single is very impressive.

Great work from carl and the team Ian,Matt etc to get it all working as problems with the spark ment i needed the HKS twin spark unit (Thanks Matt for saying get it in America as the weak dollar ment i got a great deal) .. and even after that almost as it was finished the silly Upgraded performance leads (already on the car) and coil pack blew.

Amazingly quick service to get a new coil pack and more imporant Standard mazda Leads all fitted up and mapped just days after i was getting the train back home feeling rather annoyed and gutted.

Car for me goes like a train .... Cheers Again Carl, Ian and Matt.

What were the ignition issues? What kind of power are you running? And what\'s your injector duty saying? :)

Ignition issues were not getting a good enough delivery to the spark i believe due to power drain somewhere .. might have been immobliser or anything really just taking to much power but the HKS twin power sorted that out .
Not 100% but i think around 380/390 horse.
Injector duty .. no idea mate i think itis saying HELL YEAH . lol .

Is yours a White one ? with rear defuser and Irish plate :D Looks good and with that list will be awersome.

The twin spark ... god what a job ... took about 30 seconds :D .. as long as you buy the harness aswell which is seperate.
