Has anyone tried these ebay specials from 2fast2cool and other ebay traders, i understand you pay for what you get but they look like a whole lot of equipment for not a lot of money.
Although they are £800-£1500 cheaper than name brands but are they really that bad with regard to fitment/performance etc.
I realise any of you guys who have shelled out for the name brands are gonna rate these cheapo items as crap but just wonder if anyone has "give them a try yet"
Otherwise ill just stick with standard and save up
i have one on my pulsar and its fine. a few lads on the oc have them running 400 plus bhp and the cores themselves are fine.
the only problem is the cooler piping thickness. i dont even think it a mm thick and the pipes have been known to crack often due to engine movement, but thats a quick fix.
although you will have to make it fit as the fit is not that good.
TBH the cheap one are made from cheap materials.
However i think the feed vmount is actualy an evo core plus pipe work, so brand names are not really worth it. IMHO it makes alot more sence to buy an evo core and get custom piping made.
Would these be in the same league as XS power smic etc then as i know a few people who have those and all seem happy with them?.
:o
You get what you pay for
Our cores cost more than that!!
A cheaper core wont allow the air to flow through it efficiently, so you will stall the air before it gets to radiator, hence cooling on the rad will be less.
I think you need to weigh it up against the cost of a rebuild if your AF\'s change because the intercooler decides to give up! Or the engine over heats when you give it some major beans!!
